Shanne Soulier, the owner/President of Big Spirit, Inc., is proud to report that his business has been awarded several government contracts with the Minnesota State Lottery.
Shanne approached PEDCO PTAC in February of 2020 with the hope of finding opportunities for Big Spirit, Inc. in the government marketplace. Big Spirit, Inc. is a marketing and distribution firm that provides, among other products and marketing services, promotional products and personal protective equipment (PPE) for businesses.
In working with PEDCO PTAC, Shanne registered Big Spirit, Inc. with the Federal Government’s System for Award Management, and then followed up with the valuable small business HUBZone certification. PEDCO PTAC assisted Shanne with a marketing plan in which Big Spirit, Inc. targeted opportunities in the Federal, State, local and Tribal government marketplace.
Through networking efforts, training, and marketing education that PEDCO PTAC provided, Big Spirit, Inc. identified contract solicitations with the Minnesota State Lottery for promotional materials. Recognizing this as falling within Big Spirit, Inc.’s area of expertise, Shanne successfully bid on these contracts, which included:
82,000 custom logo lottery ticket scratchers = Total value – $7,043.80
775 custom logo pizza cutters = Total value – $2,222.66
825 customer logo beverage Tumblers = Total value – $4022.40
“This is an important step for me as a I continue to find my footing in the government marketplace,” Shanne acknowledged. “While the contract values don’t represent big dollars, I’m establishing a government customer base and building up my past performance in the government marketplace. PEDCO PTAC played an important role in readying me for government contracting, and I appreciate their assistance and support.”
