PEDCO Participant Spotlight:
Congratulations to Cory Glenn on Earning His FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone License!
PEDCO is proud to recognize Cory Glenn, a Ponca Tribe of Nebraska member from Salinas, California, for achieving an important milestone in his professional journey.
During the week of July 13-17, 2026, Cory traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska, to participate in PEDCO’s Robotic Arm and Drone Training Program, delivered in partnership with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Nebraska Innovation Studio. Through this hands-on training experience, Cory gained valuable knowledge and skills to prepare for the FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone License Exam.
PEDCO supported Cory's participation by covering his training and hotel expenses in July, as well as the cost of the FAA Part 107 exam. We are excited to share that Cory successfully passed the exam in October and has officially earned his FAA commercial drone license.
Cory is the first Tribal member to complete PEDCO's drone training program and obtain an FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone License. He serves as a great example for other Tribal entrepreneurs and workforce participants interested in emerging technology career pathways.
Reflecting on his experience, Cory shared:
"PEDCO helped make this training possible and is also reimbursing the cost of my FAA examination. I really appreciate their investment in opportunities like this for tribal members. Programs that provide access to technical training, certifications, and emerging technologies such as drones can help tribal members develop new skills and explore new career and business opportunities. I’m looking forward to continuing to build on what I learned and putting my Part 107 certification to use."
Congratulations to Cory on this outstanding accomplishment! We are proud to support Tribal members as they develop new skills, earn industry-recognized certifications, and pursue innovative career and business opportunities.
Cory Glen
